Description

Students will dive into every stage of 2D animation, from pre-production and production to post-production. They’ll learn how to create the illusion of movement by rapidly displaying static images. The program covers character design, animation techniques, digital painting, and essential audio-visual editing tools. It’s a complete journey into the art of bringing ideas to life.

Fundamentals and Tools (Week 1–24)

Week 1–4: Fundamentals of Art and Design (24 sessions)

Basic shapes, forms, and composition
Introduction to color theory: Primary, secondary, and tertiary colors
Perspective drawing: 1-point, 2-point, and 3-point perspectives
Quick sketching, shading, and line-of-action techniques
Hands-on: Create foundational compositions and sketches

Week 5–8: Principles of Animation (24 sessions)

Week 9–12: Character Design Basics (24 sessions)

Week 13–16: Storyboarding and Visual Storytelling (24 sessions)

Week 17–20: Background and Prop Design (24 sessions)

Designing environments for animation: Landscape and interior backgrounds
Perspective and depth in background design
