4-Months Graphic Design Certification

Total Duration: 84 sessions (2 hours/day, 6 days a week)

Week 1–2: Introduction to Art and Design (12 sessions)

Visual hierarchy, contrast, and emphasis
Introduction to design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)

Hands-on: Create basic compositions using color schemes, shapes, and layout principles

Week 3–4: Digital Illustration (12 sessions)

Concepts of vector and raster graphics
Using Adobe Illustrator for vector illustration
Drawing tools: Pen tool, brush tool, shape tools
Techniques for creating simple illustrations like icons, logos, and banners

Hands-on: Design vector illustrations using the tools and techniques learned

Week 5–6: Typography and Layout Design (12 sessions)

Understanding typography: Font selection, kerning, tracking, and line spacing
Layout design: Grids, alignment, and hierarchy for print and digital media
Creating balanced compositions with text and images

Hands-on: Design magazine covers, web pages, or posters using typography and layout principles

Week 7–8: Graphic Design for Print Media (12 sessions)

Overview of print media: Brochures, business cards, posters, and flyers
Understanding CMYK color mode, resolution, and bleed in print design
Working with Adobe InDesign or CorelDRAW for print layouts

Hands-on: Design print-ready projects such as brochures or business cards

Week 9–10: Branding and Logo Design (12 sessions)

Branding basics: Building a brand identity
Logo design principles: Simplicity, versatility, and relevance
Typography, color palettes, and their role in branding

Hands-on: Create a logo and brand identity for a fictional company, including branding guidelines

Week 11: Web and Mobile Interface Design (6 sessions)
