Course Content

6-Month UI/UX Design Certification Syllabus

Total Duration: 150 sessions (2 hours/day, 6 days a week)

Phase 1: Foundations of UI/UX Design (Weeks 1–8)

Concepts:
- Principles of UI/UX design, design thinking, and user-centered design.
- Understanding user behavior: Journey maps and personas.
- Wireframing basics and tools: Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch.
Hands-On:
- Create personas, journey maps, and low-fidelity wireframes for a sample project.

Phase 2: User Research and Interface Design (Weeks 9–16)

Week 9–12: User Research and Analysis (24 sessions)

- User research methods: Surveys, focus groups, and usability tests.
- Competitor analysis and creating user flows.

- Conduct a research project and create actionable insights.
Week 13–16: UI Design and Design Systems (24 sessions)

  - Typography, color theory, and iconography for interfaces.
  - Building and maintaining design systems.
- Hands-On:
  - Create a design system and apply it to a web or mobile project.

Phase 3: Prototyping, Testing, and Accessibility (Weeks 17–24)

Week 17–20: Advanced Prototyping and Interaction Design (24 sessions)

Concepts:
- Creating interactive prototypes with animations and transitions.
- Tools for advanced prototyping: Figma, Principle, and InVision.
Hands-On:
- Build a high-fidelity prototype and test it for usability.

Week 21–24: Accessibility, UX Writing, and Portfolio Development (24 sessions)

Concepts:
- Writing for user interfaces: Microcopy, CTAs, and instructional text.
- Accessibility: WCAG standards and designing for inclusivity.
Hands-On:
- Refine a project for accessibility and develop a case study for your portfolio.

Phase 4: Capstone Project and Industry Readiness (Weeks 25–26)

- Project management basics for designers.
- Building a professional portfolio: Case studies, presentation, and personal branding.
Hands-On:
- Complete a comprehensive capstone project and create a portfolio tailored for job applications.
